Oconto Falls’ “Dancin Lance” Arneson boogied his way to the front, passing New Franken’s Shawn Kilgore on lap four and cruised to victory in the caution free 20 lap IMCA modified feature Seymour Speedway Sunday night.

A total of 144 cars showed up, including 24 IMCA modifieds, 38 stock cars,27 sportmods, 30 street stocks and 25 4 bangers.

While Arneson sifted his way through lapped cars with five laps remaining, Pulaski’s Jason Czarapata and Mike Mullen of Seymour waged a fierce battle for second, with Czarapata coming up on top of that scrum. Mullen took third, followed by his dad Brian Mullen and Horicon’s Russ Reinwald.

Seymour’s Shawn “Lunchbox” Wagner executed a three wide pass on a lap 11 to take the lead and hold off Pulaski’s Junior Karcz to win the 20 lap IMCA stock car feature. Wagner also netted his heat win, scoring a clean sweep for the defending track champion. Karcz finished second, followed by Gillett’s Kyle Frederick, Horicon’s Jeremy Christians and Green Bay rookie Jeremy Wiitala.

Oconto Falls’ Eric Arneson, Lance’s brother, swapped the lead with New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach for the last five laps before Arneson rode the high line to victory in the 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature. Lautenbach took second at the line, followed by De Pere’s Johnny Whitman, Bonduel’s Greg Wichman and Oconto’s Jeremy Cota.

Appleton’s Dave Hoerning passed Stephen Hiles for the lead on lap three and sweated out three caution flags and a late race surge by Danny Gracyalny to win his second, 20 lap street stock feature of the season. Gracyalny took second, followed by Oshkosh’ Jerry Winkler, Kaukauna’s Matt Drawenek and Green Bay’s Todd Everard.

Chilton’s Jesse Cullen swept action in the 4 bangers, winning both the heat and 15 lap feature.

Next Sunday, May 23 Victory Signs of Suamico will sponsor the races, which begin at 6 p.m. Seymour Speedway is located 15 minutes west of Green Bay off state highway 54 at the Outagamie County Fairgrounds. The track phone is (920) 833-7726.
