Seymour Special – When the Badger Stock Car Tour rolls into the Seymour Speedway on Wednesday night, July 17. it will be the first part of a three day summer swing through Northeastern Wisconsin.
This will also be the first race of the tour after the opening event was postponed at the 141 Speedway last month.
The Seymour portion will feature the IMCA style Stock Cars and will run a full program topped by a 30 lap feature on the 1/3 mile banked clay oval. The Seymour Speedway is a favorite for the division and the weekly events feature three and four wide racing on a steady basis. The Wednesday special should be no exception.
The race will kick off a three day swing with the Tour going to the ThunderHill Speedway in Sturgeon Bay on Thursday night July 18 and end up at the Speedzone in Oshkosh on Friday night, July 19, where the Stock Cars will be joined by big brother Badger Mod Tour. There will be a special Swing point fund for drivers making all three dates, so Seymour should boast a large field of cars.
The IMCA Sport Mod division will also be on the program at Seymour. It will not be sanctioned but the full rules package will be enforced. There will be no claim.
They will run a full program with a 20 lap main which will pay the winner $350.00 with $75.00 to start. The races will be draw/redraw format.
Being a Wednesday night, the pit gates will open at 4:30 with the entry cut off at 6:00. All pit passes will be $25.00.
The grandstand will open at 5 PM with racing starting at 7 PM…SHARP.
Regular admission prices will be in effect at $10.00 for adults, Students 13 to 18 and Seniors 55 and over $8.00 with kids 12 and under FREE with an adult.
It has been several years since the Seymour Speedway has run a mid week race and this will be one you will not want to miss.
