BSCT set to invade Seymour

Seymour, July 15- The first event in the Badger Stock Car Tour is set to take the 1/3 mile banked clay oval at the Seymour Speedway in 2 days, Wednesday July 17.
A field of over 50 cars are expected to compete in the first leg of the 3 day series, and with over 40 cars pre entered, that number could easily be surpassed.
The event will feature a complete program topped by a 30 lap feature which will pay the winner $700. The Seymour Speedway boasts three and four wide racing on a regular basis and should be up to the challenge Wednesday night.
The series will continue at the ThunderHill Speedway in Sturgeon Bay on Thursday night, and close on Friday night at the Speedzone in Oshkosh along with the Badger Mod Tour.
The IMCA Sport Mods will also be on the big program. They will compete to get into the 20 lap main with a top prize of $350.  This in not a sanctioned race but will follow all rules except the claim. 
The pit will open at 4:30 with Sport Mod draw closing at 6:15. The Badger Tour draw cut off is 6:30. All pit passes are $25. Racing starts at 7 PM…SHARP!

The grandstand will open at 5 PM.  Regular admission prices will be in effect for this special event. Adults $10,  Seniors 55 and up- Students 13-18 $8, Kids 12 and under FREE with an adult.
The drivers must compete in all three events to qualify for a special series point fund, which makes Seymour a key race.
The Stock Car series has been a much anticipated series and the drivers are set to showcase their talents and the Seymour Speedway is just the right venue for a truly competitive event.


February 4- N.E.W. DIRT will hold their monthly club meeting Tonight, Monday, February 4, at the Crystal Springs golf club at 8 PM.

2013 memberships will be available along with reserved parking spots in both pit areas.    Further information about the fast approaching  30th Anniversary Season will also be discussed.

Final plans for the Daytona 500 Banquet to be held on Sunday February 24 at Frank's Place on Main Street in Seymour will be announced.   The 2012 Awards will be presented at the party to the top 5 in each division.  The event will start at 11 AM.  There will be free beer and lunch will be available.


Seymour kicks off Big week TONIGHT July 14

Sunday, July 14,  9 AM – A beautiful, sunny Sunday for racing action on the 1/3 mile banked clay oval at the Seymour Speedway.   Tonights 5 division program is presented by Swinkles Truck and Excavating.

The pit opens at 3 with driver sign in by 5 PM.

The Grandstand opens at 4.   Racing at 6 PM…SHARP!

Don’t forget.   The inaugural race in the much anticipated Badger Stock Car Tour will be HERE, at the Seymour Speedway, THIS Wednesday, July 17.

Racing will begin at 7 PM.

The Stock Cars are very competitive here in Seymour with 3 and 4 wide racing not out of the ordinary.   With the large local field of drivers joined by several out of state hot shoes, this Wednesday should be circled in red on you calendar.

The Stock Cars will run a 30 lap main event with a $700. payday for the winner.

The IMCA Sport Mods are also part of the BIG program.   This will not be a sanctioned event for IMCA or track points, being a mid week race.  They will run a 20 lap feature with $350 to the winner.

This race is not only the first race in the series, but kicks off a three day Swing which travels to the Thunderhill Speedway in Sturgeon Bay on Thursday night July 18 and concludes  at the Speedzone in Oshkosh on Friday night July 19 where the Stock Car tour is joined by big brother Badger Mod Tour.

This weeks action will be GREAT here in Northeastern Wisconsin and it all starts TONIGHT at the Seymour Speedway at 6 PM.
